A lot of people have been to our computer trainng school to ask what digital or tech skills should they learn. Some people would ask which digital or tech skills will they learn that will change their fortunes and earn them good money. Some other people would ask that which digital or tech skill has a future.
We have carefully compiled some digital and tech skills you can learn in year 2022 THAT if you know any of them very well will give you a good fortune.
No 1 and 2 on our list is for people that don’t know anything in Computing, they are complete computer illitrate. No 3 to 13 is for people that want to start a professional career in IT or computing field.

 

What are digital Skills?
Digital skills are broadly defined as the skills needed to “use digital devices, communication applications, and networks to access and manage information,” from basic online searching and emailing to specialist programming and development.

Digital transformation is changing the world as we know it, and the workplace is not an exception to the rule. For that reason, employees need to deepen their technical skills to match the skills demand in the workplace. By adopting a growth mindset, workers can fill the skills gap by learning the top digital skills employers are looking for.

DIGITAL LITERACY (CERTIFICATE IN COMPUTER LITERACY):
Digital literacy means having the skills you need to live, learn, and work in a society where communication and access to information is increasingly through digital technologies like internet platforms, social media, and mobile devices.

OFFICE PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS (MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE, DESKTOP PUBLISHING):
Office productivity tools are applications that allow for the viewing, creating and modifying of general office documents (e.g. spreadsheets, memos, presentations, letters, personal database, form generation, image editing, etc.). Office productivity tools also include applications for managing employee tasks.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING:
Software engineering is a branch of computer science that includes the development and building of computer systems software and applications software. Computer systems software is composed of programs that include computing utilities and operations systems. Applications software consists of user-focused programs that include web browsers, database programs, etc.
Software engineers have extensive knowledge of programming languages, software development, and computer operating systems, and they apply engineering principles to software creation.
There are many types of software that a software engineer can develop, such as operating systems, computer games, middleware, business applications, and network control systems. Changes in technology and new areas of specialization keep this profession evolving at a rapid pace.

FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPMENT (FRONT END AND BACK END):
Front-End Developers:
A front-end developer codes the front end of a website. While web design is the way a website looks, front end development is how that design gets implemented on the web. By integrating markup languages, design, scripts and frameworks, front-end developers create the environment for everything that users see, click, and touch.
Back-End Developers:
A back-end developer builds and maintains the technology needed to power the components which enable the user-facing side of a website to exist. Their back end code adds utility to everything the front-end designer creates.
Full Stack Developers:
Full stack developers understand how every part of the web development process takes place and can guide on strategy and best practices. These developers will have an increasingly important role in the web development of the future, and are able to look at the ‘big picture’. They are knowledgeable with the server side as well as the client side’s user experience.
A full stack web developer is:
a person who can develop both client and server software. In addition to mastering HTML and CSS, he/she also knows how to: Program a browser (like using JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, or Vue) Program a server (like using PHP, ASP, Python, or Node).
What is the workplace of a Web Developer like?
A web developer may work full or part-time in a technology department or may choose to conduct business at home. Travel may be involved if a developer chooses to freelance. Some web developers freelance their skills to various organizations, while others choose to outsource their skills to organizations by using their expertise to act as consultants or independent contractors.

DATA SCIENCE AND DATA ANALYTICS:
Data science combines multiple fields, including statistics, scientific methods, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analysis, to extract value from data. Those who practice data science are called data scientists, and they combine a range of skills to analyze data collected from the web, smartphones, customers, sensors, and other sources to derive actionable insights.
Data science encompasses preparing data for analysis, including cleansing, aggregating, and manipulating the data to perform advanced data analysis. Analytic applications and data scientists can then review the results to uncover patterns and enable business leaders to draw informed insights.
Data analytics is a multidisciplinary field. There is extensive use of computer skills, mathematics, statistics, the use of descriptive techniques and predictive models to gain valuable knowledge from data through analytics.

Difference Between Data Science And Data Analytics
While data analysts and data scientists both work with data, the main difference lies in what they do with it.
Data analysts examine large data sets to identify trends, develop charts, and create visual presentations to help businesses make more strategic decisions.
Working in Data Analytics
The responsibility of data analysts can vary across industries and companies, but fundamentally, data analysts utilize data to draw meaningful insights and solve problems. They analyze well-defined sets of data using an arsenal of different tools to answer tangible business needs: e.g. why sales dropped in a certain quarter, why a marketing campaign fared better in certain regions, how internal attrition affects revenue, etc.
Data analysts have a range of fields and titles, including (but not limited to) database analyst,business analyst, market research analyst, sales analyst, financial analyst, marketing analyst, advertising analyst, customer success analyst, operations analyst, pricing analyst, and international strategy analyst. The best data analysts have both technical expertise and the ability to communicate quantitative findings to non-technical colleagues or clients.

Data scientists, on the other hand, design and construct new processes for data modeling and production using prototypes, algorithms, predictive models, and custom analysis.
Working in Data Science
Data scientists, on the other hand, estimate the unknown by asking questions, writing algorithms, and building statistical models.
The main difference between a data analyst and a data scientist is heavy coding. Data scientists can arrange undefined sets of data using multiple tools at the same time, and build their own automation systems and frameworks.

COMPLETE DIGITAL MARKETING:
Digital marketing is the component of marketing that uses internet and online based digital technologies such as desktop computers, mobile phones and other digital media and platforms to promote products and services.
It is the marketing of products or services using digital channels to reach consumers.
The key objective is to promote brands through various forms of digital media. In a layman’s term digital marketing is simply using the normal marketing, promotion of use of services, your brand using electronic devices, social media and other technologies and techniques that are available on the internet.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) WITH DEEP LEARNING:
The field of artificial intelligence is essentially when machines can do tasks that typically require human intelligence. It encompasses machine learning, where machines can learn by experience and acquire skills without human involvement. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning where artificial neural networks, algorithms inspired by the human brain, learn from large amounts of data. Similarly to how we learn from experience, the deep learning algorithm would perform a task repeatedly, each time tweaking it a little to improve the outcome. We refer to ‘deep learning’ because the neural networks have various (deep) layers that enable learning. Just about any problem that requires “thought” to figure out is a problem deep learning can learn to solve.
AI means getting a computer to mimic human behavior in some way.
Data science is a subset of AI, and it refers more to the overlapping areas of statistics, scientific methods, and data analysis—all of which are used to extract meaning and insights from data..
Machine learning is another subset of AI, and it consists of the techniques that enable computers to figure things out from the data and deliver AI applications.
Deep learning which is a subset of machine learning that enables computers to solve more complex problems.

BLOCKCHAIN AND WEB3:
Web2 refers to the version of the internet most of us know today. An internet dominated by companies that provide services in exchange for your personal data. Web3, in the context of Ethereum, refers to decentralized apps that run on the blockchain. These are apps that allow anyone to participate without monetising their personal data.
WEB3 BENEFITS
Many Web3 developers have chosen to build dapps because of Ethereum’s inherent decentralization:
Anyone who is on the network has permission to use the service – or in other words, permission isn’t required.
No one can block you or deny you access to the service.
Payments are built in via the native token, ether (ETH).
Ethereum is turing-complete, meaning you can pretty much program anything.
WHAT IS A BLOCKCHAIN?
A blockchain is a public database that is updated and shared across many computers in a network.
“Block” refers to data and state being stored in consecutive groups known as “blocks”. If you send ETH to someone else, the transaction data needs to be added to a block to be successful.
“Chain” refers to the fact that each block cryptographically references its parent. In other words, blocks get chained together. The data in a block cannot change without changing all subsequent blocks, which would require the consensus of the entire network.
Every computer in the network must agree upon each new block and the chain as a whole. These computers are known as “nodes”. Nodes ensure everyone interacting with the blockchain has the same data. To accomplish this distributed agreement, blockchains need a consensus mechanism.
Ethereum currently uses a proof-of-work consensus mechanism. This means that anyone who wants to add new blocks to the chain must solve a difficult puzzle that requires a lot of computing power. Solving the puzzle “proves” that you have done the “work” by using computational resources. Doing this is known as mining. Mining is typically brute force trial and error, but successfully adding a block is rewarded in ETH.
New blocks are broadcast to the nodes in the network, checked and verified, thus updating the state of the blockchain for everyone.
So to summarize, when you send ETH to someone, the transaction must be mined and included in a new block. The updated state is then shared with the entire network.

GRAPHICS DESIGN:
is a craft where professionals create visual content to communicate messages. By applying visual hierarchy and page layout techniques, designers use typography and pictures to meet users’ specific needs and focus on the logic of displaying elements in interactive designs, to optimize the user experience.

CYBER SECURITY:
Cyber security is the application of technologies, processes and controls to protect systems, networks, programs, devices and data from cyber attacks.
It aims to reduce the risk of cyber attacks and protect against the unauthorised exploitation of systems, networks and technologies.

MOBILE APP DEVELOPMENTS:
Mobile app development is the act or process by which a mobile app is developed for mobile devices, such as personal digital assistants, enterprise digital assistants or mobile phones. These software applications are designed to run on mobile devices, such as a smartphone or tablet computer.

UI/UX DESIGN:
UX design refers to the term “user experience design”, while UI stands for “user interface design”.
The difference between User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) is that UI refers to the aesthetic elements by which people interact with a product, while UX is about the experience a user has with a product or service. So, UI focuses on visual interface elements such as typography, colors, menu bars, and more, while UX focuses on the user and their journey through the product.
